The Graduate Program in Nursing (PPGENF) of the Federal University of Ceará announces the information about CAPES Call No. 12/2025 for the Graduate Students-Agreement Program (PEC-PG), with openings for the Master’s and Doctoral courses at PPGENF.

What is the program?

The Graduate Students-Agreement Program (PEC-PG) is an international cooperation initiative coordinated by CAPES, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), and CNPq. The objective is to attract foreign students to graduate programs in Brazil, promoting knowledge exchange and benefiting Brazilian institutions with contact with qualified researchers.

Openings and Scholarships

For the Graduate Program in Nursing at UFC, 2 Doctoral scholarship holders and 4 Master’s scholarship holders, who are not Brazilian, will be selected to carry out the courses in person in Brazil.

Duration of Scholarships

The duration of the scholarships is:

Full Doctorate: up to 48 months

Full Master’s: up to 24 months

Amounts of Monthly Allowances

The amounts of the scholarships are financed by CAPES and transferred directly to the scholarship holders. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for covering the return assistance to the country of origin.

Full Doctorate Scholarship

Monthly stipend: R$ 3,100.00

Health insurance allowance: R$ 400.00

Full Master’s Scholarship

Monthly stipend: R$ 2,100.00

Health insurance allowance: R$ 400.00

Travel to Brazil, connection or baggage costs, and academic or administrative fees for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will not be funded.

Requirements for Application

Some of the mandatory requirements to apply are:

Be a foreigner and a national of a country participating in the program.

Not have Brazilian nationality, dual Brazilian nationality, or the right to Brazilian nationality.

Provide proof of completion of a course equivalent to an undergraduate degree in the Brazilian system.

Reside abroad, in a country participating in the program.

Not have a current scholarship from a Brazilian federal agency for the same level of study.

Have an updated Lattes CV.

Be registered on the ORCID platform.

Selection Process Schedule

For Full Doctorate and Full Master’s:

Application of candidates: From August 14 to September 29, 2025, until 5:00 p.m. (Brasília time).

Publication of final result: By November 14, 2025.

Beginning of studies: First semester of 2026.

Publication of final result: By April 30, 2026.

The application must be made online at the link https://inscricao.capes.gov.br, and the documents must be sent in PDF format, with a maximum size of 5MB per file.
