PRESENTATION

The Postgraduate Program in Nursing has as its Area of ​​Concentration: Nursing in Health Promotion. The role of Nursing in health promotion in individuals, groups and communities is studied. It investigates policies, practices, processes and resources of an institutional and governmental nature. It analyzes the living conditions of the population in the health-disease process, knowledge, attitudes, strategies, and care behaviors. It favors the transformation of policies and practices in health promotion.

At the current stage, the Program has been evolving and showing potential that is expressed in several aspects of the academic process, with significant production in national and international journals. The Program seeks to develop studies in order to expand and generate knowledge for the technical-scientific, political-social, epistemological and methodological development of nursing work, committed to a transformative social practice and aimed at improving quality of life, at the level individual and collective care, taking into account the complexity of inequalities and regional needs.
